The Huron County Republican Party sponsored a booth at the 155th Huron Community Fair that was held in Bad Axe the week of July 30 through Aug. 5, 2023.

The booth was in the newly renovated Merchants Building, so the atmosphere was always enjoyable as a Michigan summer’s day. Many special needs individuals, children and seniors took advantage of the building to cool off and take a break. They registered at the booth for over $1,500 in donated free prizes which included 86 free tickets to the local movie theater, which was showing “The Sound of Freedom.”

Many expressed interests in the common sense values of the group and were delighted to take information with them., our thanks to all. Some of the prize winners even, “paid it forward” to others in the area. Our congratulations to all.

We would also like to send out a huge “thank you” to all the business that donated free prizes and would also send out kudos to the Fair Board for the paved paths and improvements to the grounds, which made it easier for everyone on wheels to get around, not stumble or have any obstacles in their path.

The Huron County Republican Party meets 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Franklin Inn, Bad Axe.
